CARTER ~ Ebony Latrice Carter departed her life May 22, 2021 following an accident. She was born December 7, 1979 to Gertrude Annette Carter in Jacksonville, Florida. Ebony attended the local schools in Duval County; after graduating from high school, she obtained her Associates of Arts degree.
She was employed as a medical assistant for a short term; she spent most of her life as a homemaker, raising her children. Ebony loved nature and everything nature – she enjoyed going for long walks, trees, water. She also liked fishing, dancing, singing and music. Even though Ebony never married, Alvester Lamb was her first love.
Ebony was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Carter. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, A’naysha Latrice Lamb, Sabi Na’kili Williams, Katrice Nicole Matthews, Chauncey Eugene Garvin III, A’manda Ma’shay Carter, Carpathia S. Tapley; grandmother, Minnie King; siblings, Deandrea Carter, Willie & Ketring Smith, Anthenette & James Riley; uncles, James and Michael King; aunt, Tammy King; nephews and nieces, Charles Dodd, Kiana, Kautney, Mushaya, Milani & Quinn Carter, Willie Da’taz Summerilin, Chanel & Stachia Carter; many cousins, extended family and friends.
