Dwayne L. Fletcher

Fletcher ~ Dwayne Lavon Fletcher of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away August 2, 2023.  He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fletcher; brothers, Joseph Fletcher and William Merriman.  Dwayne left behind his children, Courtney Fletcher Londono, Jabari Fletcher, Amari Fletcher; siblings, Malvenia Stewart, Diane Williams, Anthony Fletcher, Michael Fletcher, Sr.; partner in life, Bonita Brazil; a host of cousins, friends and extended family.

He held many titles in his life, from Fireman to entrepreneur, but his favorite role was being a father. Dwayne was always there for his children, nieces, and nephews - from speaking important life lessons to cheering them on in their accomplishments.  He encouraged them all to seek the best life for themselves but to always keep family as a priority.  Dwayne was loved by many. Since he was gone too soon, the impact he had on our community will be felt for years to come. He has passed down wisdom and legacy that others will pass on for generations.  Dwayne will always be remembered for his hard work and for the sacrifices he made for his family and friends. 

Memorial service for Dwayne Lavon Fletcher will be 11:00am Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, 5577 Moncrief Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32209.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
