Burton ~ Donald Burton, 88, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Easy going and warm hearted, he was someone who made others feel comfortable and welcomed. Donald loved his family deeply and would do anything for them. To everyone who knew him, he was dependable and caring.
Donald was the proud father of six children, Donald, Jay, Robert, Christopher, Matthew and Barry (preceded him in death). He was also a doting grandfather and great grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family. His love, kindness, and devotion will remain in their hearts and memory forever.
He dedicated thirty-three years to serving as a police officer in Cherry Hill, New Jersey; his commitment to his work was an important part of his life and legacy.
To his wife, Marcia, Donald meant the world. Their life together was filled with love, family, and treasured memories. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. And of course, those who knew Donald knew there was nothing quite like a good martini with a stuffed olive.
A message from his wife ~ Donald, you were not only my husband, but my best friend and the love of my life. You meant the world to me, and I will forever be grateful for the life and memories we shared. My heart is broken knowing that I have to say goodbye, but I will carry your love with me every day. I will remember your gentle spirit, your love for our family, and all the little things that made you who you were. You gave so much love to everyone around you, and I hope you knew just how deeply you were loved in return. Until we meet again, I will love you always and forever.
Donald’s life was a gift to his family, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
