Diane Blackwell

Blackwell ~ Mrs. Diane Blackwell was born April 2, 1954 to the union of Lennon and Zellene Davis in Jacksonville, Florida.  Diane accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Stephens African Methodist Episcopal Church.  

She was a graduate of William M. Raines High School class of 1972.  After graduation, she worked in the Duval County public library system, City of Jacksonville and retired as an employee of the State of Florida.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Rachel Chapter #74.  She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Diane Blackwell departed this life Friday, August 20, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lennon and Zellene Davis; brother, Paul Davis.  She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Joseph Blackwell; daughters, Dr. Alisha Wise and Jondra Wise of Atlanta, Georgia; grandson, Darren Harrington II; sister, Zena Davis; nephew, Kenneth Davis; a host of relatives and friends.

Graveside Service for Mrs. Diane Blackwell will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 27, 2021, Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 North Edgewood Avenue.  Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.
