Exalus ~ Delma Exalus was born December 10, 1942, in Thomasville, Georgia. She was raised in Florida and graduated from Old Stanton High-school. After high school, Delmas obtained a degree in Early Childhood Education from Edward Waters College.
Ms. Exalus attended Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church over thirty years where she served as a Deaconess and in other various positions. She taught at Ephesus Junior Academy then she became the Director at New Beginning Day Care, the church daycare. Ms. Exalus was the Director for more than thirty years - she taught, loved, and cherished countless children. Delma Exalus was wonderful, loving, and kind. She was also very helpful and devoted. Ms. Exalus really enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her plants.
She transitioned on August 24, 2024. Ms. Exalus was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Lee (Miller) Tramel; stepfather, George Chester Tramel; brothers, Sampson Tramel, Francis Tramel Sr.; sisters, Martha Tramel and Ruby Tramel Wilson; niece, Angel Tramel. She is survived by her son/nephew, LeNorris Tramel; grandson, Joshua Tramel; sisters, Georgia Ann Tramel, Frankie Tramel, Thelma Tramel Woodson, Elizabeth Tramel Harris; nephews; Dwight Tramel, Michael Tramel, Francis Tramel Jr,; nieces, Pamela Joyce Wilson, Angela Freeman, Michelle Tramel, Tjuana Wade, Yolanda Wade, Vanessa Newkirk, Monique Tramel, Katura Tramel, Monica Tramel; countless friends and loved ones.
Celebration of Life service for Ms. Delma Exalus will be11:00AM Friday, September 5, 2024, at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2750 Edgewood Avenue West. Visitation Thursday from 5 – 7:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
