Raines High School, where she served as a financial aid advisor for graduating seniors, and Sallye B. Mathis Elementary School as a reading tutor.

She was also a devoted alumna of Bethune-Cookman University, where she actively served in the alumni association dedicating her time to supporting and encouraging students in their educational pursuits.
She also found joy in fellowship and community through organizations such as the Red Hat Society, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Silhouettes and serving as the secretary of the Old Stanton Class of 1951 alumni.
