Deacon Clarence Robinson Obituary

ROBINSONClarence Robinson was born September 11, 1928 to the union of Hezekiah Robinson II and Elsie Lavera Armstrong, in Woodbine, Georgia.  The family later moved to Jacksonville, Florida.  He attended the local schools in Duval County.

Clarence served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army.  He settled in Stratford, Connecticut, and was employed and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft Manufacture.  He later relocated back to Jacksonville, Florida and was employed with St. Regis Paper Company.  Clarence served as a Deacon at Shiloh Baptist Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife(s), Pearlie Ruth Mercer Robinson, Lavenia Robinson and Elbrenda Robinson; daughter, Pricilla McCutchen; parents, Hezekiah and Elsie Robinson; brothers, Ezekiel Robinson, Frederick Robinson, Hezekiah Robinson III, Roosevelt Robinson; sisters, Virginia Hart, Cynthia Jones & Fannie Mae Wright.  Clarence leaves to cherish his memory, children, Deacon Bruce W. Robinson (Patricia), Joyce Sutton; brothers, Anthony Robinson (Linda), Leonard Robinson; sisters, Agnes Carlos, Elsie L. Sapp (Charles), Queen E. LaPrade; grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many loving friends. 

Homegoing Service for Deacon Clarence Robinson will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 15, 2020 at The Soutel Chapel, H. B. Charles, Jr. , Pastor/Teacher, Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church.  Due to COVID-19 pandemic, service will be attended by immediate family only.  Entombment at Edgewood Cemetery.  Because of the love of his family arrangements entrusted to J.
