Darrell Williams Obituary

Williams ~ Darrell P. “DP” Williams was born March 18,1968, to Joseph Sr. and Carolyn Williams. He attended local schools in Duval County, and graduated from Andrew Jackson Senior High School, class of 1987.  Darrell accepted Christ at a young age attending The Church of God of Prophecy until adulthood.

Darrell experienced many endeavors, including working for The City of Jacksonville Waste Department for over thirty years until his health began to fail.  He was an avid outdoors man and loved building and reconstructing things. Darrell enjoyed traveling and sitting in his garage contemplating on what would be his next project.  He enjoyed long road trips and gardening.  Darrell had a vision unlike any other and did not mind sharing and appointing you to your duties in his envisions.  He was a man of demeanor and courageousness.  Nothing could keep him down and let him tell it, he was “TOP CHEF” because he loved to bake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr and Carolyn Williams; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents, Abraham and Minnie Williams; one angel child; one bonus grandson whom he adored (as he would say his little buddy) Saint Pierre Williams; uncles, Cecil Williams, Purcell Williams and Leroy Williams; aunt, Adeline Williams.  Darnell leaves to cherish his loving memory, loving wife, Dawn Pino-Williams; daughters whom he adored and cherished, Trenecia Williams & La’Tonya Williams; seven bonus kids; numerous bonus grand kids; devoted brothers, Joseph Williams Jr, and his handy man Terry Williams Sr. (Katina); sister, Connie Williams; best friend turned brother, Monroe Adams; aunt/godmother whom he adored, Connie Williams-Thompson; uncles, Abraham (Yvonne) Williams, Bobby (Lisa) Williams and Christopher (Dee-Dee) Williams; aunts, Margaret Williams, Loise(Eddie), Delores Williams and Linda (Everhart); nephews, Joseph Williams III, Antonio Williams, Antwaun Williams and Terry Jr.; loving nieces, Shontavia Williams, Teresa Williams and Tyesha Williams; god sister, Terika Wakefield; god brother, Toran Wakefield-Thompson; a host of cousins, other loving family and friends.
