Gibbs ~ Mr. Clement Henry Gibbs, Jr. was born August 11, 2024, in Waynesville, North Carolina to Clement Henry Gibbs, Sr. and Edna Casey Gibbs. He was employed by Bell South for over twenty years and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Pete was known to everyone as “Pete”. He was a very loving person, that would do anything for anyone. Pete would give you the shirt off of his back if needed. He was an amazing author, having written many inspiring poems. Writing was a natural talent; he could write a poem about any situation on the spur of a moment. Many things inspired him to write. One situation was the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting. He was very upset about what happened and wanted to write a poem to hopefully bless the hearts of their parents.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Clement Henry Gibbs, Sr.; mother, Edna Frazier; children, Tracier Gibbs, Daryl Glee; brothers, Allen Gibbs, Ernest Eugene Gibbs, Frank Gibbs, Daniel Moore, Billy Lorenzo Moore, Cecil Moore, Sr.; sisters, Barbara Scott, Dorothy Gyden, Sandra Ellison. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of forty years, Mrs. Deborah Gibbs; sons, Dexter Scott (Lameta), Gregory Keith Gibbs, Clement Henry Gibbs III, Jeffrey Moore; daughters, Katrice Strong (LaTroy), Katrina Morrell (Ted); stepchildren, Teri Stewart (Paul), John Richardson (Niesha); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Samuel Moore (Deborah); sisters, Judy James, Joyce Moore, Audrey Benton, Edith Moore; and many sorrowful friends.
