Carolyn " Coot " James

James ~ Carolyn Denise “Coot” James passed peacefully from the life the morning of October 24, 2022.  She was born August 13, 1967, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Wallace & Helen James.  Carolyn attended the local elementary schools of Duval County, Paxon High School and Jacksonville Job Corps. 

She was a faithful employee of SLA Management.  Carolyn was a beloved mother of four children, two kings and two queens. She was a dedicated aunt to all her nephews and nieces and any other children in her presence.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Helen Marion James, Sr.  She leaves to cherish her memories of life children, Lakeesha James (Mark), Keith James, Kemeisha James (Keith), Josh James (Ni’Kiyos); devoted step children; grandchildren, Catina, Ricardo, Mark, Dontreal, Keith Jr, Syriniti, Kynide, Kayden, Keith III, Tristyn, Ta’Lahni, Kei’Moura, Markayla, Kei’Mauri, Baby James; goddaughter, Jo’Neisha Mitchell; siblings, Wallace James II (Roe), Lesia Martin (Tommy), Cheryl James-Taylor (Charles), Monica Mitchell (Joe); god sisters, Cynthia & Teresa; special friend, Andrew Colliers; best friend, Linda Wilborn; a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Carolyn Denise James, 11 AM Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church, 5527 Redpoll Avenue.   Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Church.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
