Carl E. Jones

Jones ~ Mr. Carl Edward Jones was born in Jacksonville, Florida February 17, 1947 to Lamar & Mattie Jones.  He attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating from New Stanton Senior High School in 1965.  Carl voluntarily joined the United States Air Force where he served one term and was given an Honorable Discharge.

He was employed by Jacuzzi, Amtrak and several other companies in Managerial positions.  Carl was living in Valdosta, Georgia until his health failed and relocated back to Jacksonville, Florida in 2021.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Jones and Mattie Jones; siblings: Laura Lucas, Willie Harmon and Maeona Patrick. He transitioned July 20, 2023 and leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Tracey Foster; grandsons, Stephen II and Quentiene; sibling,  Sheila Jones Scott; special nieces and nephews,  Regina, Phyllis, Linda, Essie, Gloria, Carolyn, Trenton, Eric, Edward, Anthony, Larry and Daryl; great niece and nephew, Shantel Dearison and Patrick Dearison, Jr.; other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life service for Carl Jones will be 11:00am, Saturday, July 29, 2023 at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J E Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Drive, 904-924-9400.
