CHISHOLM ~ Carey Louis Chisholm was born December 4, 1941, in Apopka, Florida to the loving late parents, Johnny Lee Green, Sr. and Anna Lue Chisholm. He attended Stanton Vocational High School.
Carey enjoyed fishing and listening to blues musicians as Bobby Bland, Muddy Waters and B. B. King. He was known for his personal entertainment in making people laugh. However, Carey was very firm when serious. He had a huge heart, always willing to give or lend a helping hand. Most of all, Carey was a firm believer in Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his son, Malik Shabazz; father, Johnny Green; mother, Anna Lue Bradford; siblings, Sylvester, Mildred, Betty; godson, Jermaine Dowdell. Carey leaves behind to mourn his death, a loving and devoted family; children, Tonja, Robin, Bianca, Carey Jr, Kevin (Asia); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Johnnie Mae, Amos (Pat), Marion, Margie, Geraldine, Johnny (Emma); uncle, Wilbert; aunts, Nadine, Johnnie Mae; goddaughter, Khalilah; special friend, Mary; close friend, Freddie; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Graveside Service for Carey Chisholm will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Restlawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at Mt. Herman Missionary Church, 5527 Redpoll Avenue, Pastor A.
