Bobbie Hall Obituary

Hall ~ Bobbie Lee Hall was a man of deep devotion.  From the moment he came into the world, to the moment he left, he made a lasting impression on the people around him.  Bobbie’s life began in Ft. Pierce, Florida, January 2, 1947, to Willie and Fannie Hall.  From his humble beginnings in Ft. Pierce to the life he created in Jacksonville, he remained steadfast in his employment, interests and relationship with God and family.  Bobbie was employed by Portable Sanitation until he retired in 2008.  He worked part-time with Davis Mail Service from 2018 until he became ill in 2021.  After Bobbie retired, he loved to fish and fellowship with people he met along the way.  Bobbie loved his family and friends.  His life was enriched as a husband, father, granddad, papa, brother, uncle and friend.  Lives were enriched through his love of family and his love of the Lord.  Bobbie was a warrior for the Lord and he loved sharing his testimony.  He was an enthusiastic witness of God’s goodness and mercy.  Bobbie’s walk with the Lord began as a member of Genesis Missionary Baptist Church where he was ordained as a deacon in 1993.  He was a member and leader in the Genesis Male Ensemble where his distinctive tenor vocals are still remembered in their rendition of “Silent Night”.  Bobbie was an active member at Westside Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Keith Russell.  He taught Sunday School classes at Westside Baptist until he became ill and could no longer attend in person.

“If we meet and you forget me, you have lost nothing.  If you meet Jesus and you forget HIM,

 you have lost everything.”

Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Fannie Hall; sister, Annie ae Salters.  He will be honored in fond memories by his family and friends who loved him dearly.  Bobbie will live forever in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife, Paulette Whitmore Hall; sons, Bobbie Hall, Jr., Michael Jackson, Arthur Young (Tonya); daughters, Erika Gilbert (John), Terry Manning, Keshia Manning, Dyshaun Manning-Vickers; grandchildren; siblings, Lillie Mae Vereen, Forest Hall; nephews, Leonard Washington (Glenda), Derrick Roundtree; nieces, Felita Tutt (Tim), Michelle Owens (Daryl), Lydia Washington, Verlinda Watson (Malcom), Lawanna Lee (Kirk), Veronica Hall; mother-in-law, Melzetta Iason Whitmore; brothers-in-law, Michael Whitmore, Darrell Whitmore, Rodney Whitmore, Jeffrey Whitmore (Sally); sister-in-law, Patty Alexander; many grand nephews, grand nieces, and good friends who will miss him.
