Drummer ~ BERNICE DRUMMER was born to the late Henry Luke Grant and Mrs. Annie Laura Holloman Grant in Mesena, Georgia. She received her early education in the public schools of Chatham County, graduating from Alfred E. Beach High School, Savannah, Georgia. Furthering her education, Bernice attended Moore Business College, Baltimore, Maryland.
Her religious affiliation was with Woodlawn Presbyterian Church (USA) for many years, where she was a faithful member of the Seniors and Retirees Organization and the Presbyterian Women’s Organization. Bernice loved the Lord with all her heart. Her favorite songs were “How Great Thou Art” and “To God Be The Glory”.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Ernest Grant. On September 14,2025, God in His infinite wisdom, called Mrs. Bernice Drummer to eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of forty nine years, Preston Drummer; four step-sons, Preston Leon Drummer of Atlanta, Georgia, Gregory Paul Drummer (Alfreeda), of Albany, Georgia, Reginal Patrick Drummer, Atlanta, Georgia, Robert Gustave Drummer, Esquire (Paula) of Haymarket, Virginia; one step-daughter, Marva Denise Hall of Danville, Georgia; twenty-five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; adopted brother, Reverend Sammie Kenty (Gwen) of Savannah, Georgia; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Bernice was affectionately known as “Little sister” by her family and close friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

tenderness along the path we trod, We cherish our
memories and leave the rest to God.
Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Bernice Drummer will be 12:00PM Friday, September 19, 2025, at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, USA, 3026 Woodlawn Road. Visitation Friday from 11 – 12:00 PM at The Church. Entombment in Edgewood Cemetery. Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
