Sharon Belenda Nesbitt

NESBITT ~ Sharon B. Merriwether Nesbitt was born July 12, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida to Amos and Doris Merriwether.  She attended Duval County Public Schools, graduating from Paxon Senior High School, Class of 1974. 

Sharon met and married Willie Nesbitt and this union was blessed with one daughter, Serena Nesbitt.  Sharon retired from Duval County School Board after twenty-eight years of service and was later employed with LaVilla Community Center.  She was nurturing and giving, touching the lives of many family and friends. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Doris Merriwether; brother, Kenneth “Tim” Merriwether; sister-in-law, Constance Merriwether.  She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband, Willie Nesbitt; loving daughter, Serena Nesbitt; grandchildren, Tony, Ta’She, Raven, Sherrod & Roderick; brothers, Amos (Phyllis) Jr., Vincent (Helen), Michael (Valerie Swain) & Darryl Merriwether; sister, Laura (Ben) Reed; brother-in-law, Maurice (Barbara) Nesbitt; sisters-in-law, Denise Nesbitt & Ruth Davis; uncles, Gerald (Judy) Wells, Harold Taylor, David (Thomasina) Alexander; aunt, Patricia Anderson; first cousins, Elaine (Bobby) Smiley, Millicent Wells-Williams, Thermon Minors, Sheila Toomer, Tommy Jr., Eric, Larisa & Valerie Wells, Chris Taylor; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends including Ms. Lou, Paula Coppage, Walter Jackson, Ms Mildred, Sister Merkey and Sister Annette. 

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sharon Nesbitt 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 7, 2017, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3003 Soutel Drive.  Visitation FRIDAY at The Soutel Chapel from 5 – 7:00 PM.   Memorialization by Cremation.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J.
