Paul Harris, Jr.

HARRIS ~ Paul Harris, Jr. was born January 9, 1940 to the late Paul Ford of Kings Ferry, Florida and Laverne Harris of Dania Beach, Florida; raised by stepmother, Gladys M. Ford.

He attended and graduated from Attucks High School in Hollywood, Florida.  Paul enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country, receiving an honorable discharge.  He was a self-employed contractor, helping people throughout the community. 

Paul was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lorenzo Watson.  He was also a member of The Progressive Masonic Lodge Number 690, Hollywood, Florida.  Paul enjoyed talking on his C. B Radio, fishing, farming and traveling; he has traveled to locations as far as Jerusalem.

On November 29, 2019, the Lord call Paul to his final resting place, his heavenly home.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Paul Harris; stepdaughter, Selestine Ware-Jenkins.    He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Evangelist Myrtice Nesbitt Harris; children, John Wesley Harris, Jr. and Wylane Harris Ingram; step children, Nicole Ware, Sonya & Tonya Williams, Anthony, Andre & Sherrie Norton; grandsons, Corey Harris & John Harris III; step grandchildren, Trickia Ware & Shanisha Kendle; great-grandchildren; brother, Deacon Withie (Shirley) Ford, Sr.; nephews, Withie D. (Traci) Jr & Jeffrey Ford, Sr.; niece, Kimberly Ford; a host of  nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.

Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Paul Harris will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:oo AM at Mount Olive Church, 32046 Mt. Olive Road, Kings Ferry, Florida, Reverend Lorenzo Watson, Pastor.  Family will receive friends Friday at the church from 5 – 7 PM.  Internment at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Kings Ferry, Florida.  Because of the love of his family arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Service, 904.924.9400
