Michael Lemund Sampson

SAMPSON ~ Michael Lemund Sampson was a man of great faith and wisdom and will be missed by family, friends and all the lives he was able to touch.  He was born February 4, 1961 and went home to meet his Lord and Savior on the evening of November 10, 2018 at the age of fifty-seven.  Michael accepted Christ at an early age.

Born and raised in Jacksonville Florida, Michael attended local schools, graduating from Stanton High School in 1979.  Afterwards, Michael joined the United States Air Force where he served until 1985. He would then go on to work at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida as well as Humana Healthcare and Publix.  He continued his education by attending Florida State College of Jacksonville where he attained his Associate of Sciences degree.  Michael was a poet who founded Poetryson Production, Inc.; where he enjoyed sharing his writings with everyone alike. He loved his family and friends and most of all lived his life a man of God, serving the Heavenly Father at all turns and spreading the word to all who would listen. Michael was a member of First New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he would work in the Fellowship Hall every Sunday to serve his church family and friends.

He is survived by his two children, Shainae Michelle and Michael Lemund II; siblings, Anthony, Gwendolyn, James, Delores and Gregory; his live-in partner of over ten years, Ms. Carolyn.

Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Michael Lemund Sampson will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at First New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 4835 Soutel Dr., Rev. Dr. James B. Sampson, Pastor.  Family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 7:00 PM at the Church.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
