Joseph Herring

HERRING ~ Joseph Herring, Jr. was born June 12, 1962, to the union of the late Joseph and Marie Herring. He was the last of eight children born. Joseph was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Harold Herring.

He was employed by Babcock Home Furnishings for the past 13 years as a Warehouse Manager. He was a proud member of the Ribault Trojan’s class of 1980.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife whom he frequently referred to as “the love of his life”, Mary E. Hayes-Herring, whom he joined in holy matrimony February 14, 2011.   He also leaves his sons, Eugene LaShawn Hodges, Joseph Herring, III (Arwyn), and Joshua Brain Herring (Sahara), all of Jacksonville, Florida; LaQuinton RaShad Reynolds of Miramar, Florida; ten grandchildren; six brothers, Willie T. Herring (Patricia), Melvin J. Herring (Geraldine), George E. Herring (Pamela), Reggie T. Herring (Consandra) of Phoenix City, Alabama, Henry L. Herring (Sylvia) of Jacksonville, Florida, Keith W. Herring (Charlotte) of Columbus, Georgia; sister, Paulette Scott of Jacksonville, Florida;  a host of other relatives and friends.

He was called home on Saturday, May 26, 2018, and he’s now seated “Somewhere around God’s Throne.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at The Potter’s House International Ministries, 5119 Normandy Blvd, Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin, Pastor.  Family will receive friends Friday 5 - 7 PM at  The Master’s Touch Ministry, 4510 Soutel Drive.    Interment in Restlawn Memorial  Park.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
