RILEY ~ James Riley, Jr. affectionately known as “Kickstand”, was a great man of integrity, honor and compassion. He was born February 5, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida to James Riley, Sr. and Sadie Thompson.
James was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for more than thirty years. Along with his infectious sense of humor, he loved bringing his family and friends together and an occasional swing on the golf course.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Jonnie L. Riley; children, James (Anthenette) Riley III, Ricardo Riley, Kenyatta (Wilhelmina) Johnson, Xavier Johnson, Farryn James, Tommy Arnold, Timothy (Karen) Arnold, Teddy (CaSandra) Arnold, Terry (Denise) Arnold; 19 grandchildren; sister, Sadie (Louise) Salley; sisters-in-law, Vicki (Ronnie) James, Hue (Richard) Johnson-Vickers; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends (JTA).
Celebration of Life Service for Mr. James Riley, Jr. will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Bishop John E. Guns, Pastor. Family will receive friends Friday from 3 – 5 PM at The Soutel Chapel. Interment at Restlawn Memorial Park. Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
