MCCLOUD ~ James R. “Bo-Jingles/Granddaddy” McCloud was born September 2, 1946 to the late Ida Mae Young.
James was fortunate to be a part of “Young Life Movement”, where he traveled to Chicago and many other cities. He was one of the founders and mentors of the original “Love Maze”, giving leadership and guidance to young men. James was in the entertainment circle, working with the Ojays, Dells, Delfonics, Johnny Taylor, Teddy Pendergrass, The Manhattans, Chi-Lites, Whitney Houston (I’ll Always Love You, one of his favorite songs) and many more entertainment artists.
He later joined True Holiness Church and earned the name “granddaddy”. James was a very loving and passionate man. He loved his church and his pastor, Elder Evelyn Mosley.
James is loved and will be remembered by his wife of forty years, Christine Delores Watson-McCloud; son, Tyree (Lisa) Hall; daughter, Lanette (Allen) Howard; 14 grandchildren; brothers, Jackie & Michael McCloud, Samuel Denmark, George, Alphonso & Christopher Allen; sisters, Rose & Rosalind Solomon, Delores Trapp, Joann Jackson, Betty & Elizabeth Allen; brothers-in-law, C. J. Johnson, David (Jeannie) King, Roscoe (Emily) Greene, Jerome (Glenda) Walker, Rodney Walker, Bernard Walker; sisters-in-law, Elder Patricia (Judson) Baldwin, Lessie & Patricia Walker; god sister, Arries Glover; special father-in-law, Willie Walker; many nephews, nieces, cousins, loving family and friends, including special friend affectionately called “my baby”, Marion Green & Vanessa Coleman; “his ready when you are friend”, Elder Patricia Green; special nephews, Judson Baldwin III & Michael Dunbar; special niece, Rishanda Fudge; special grandson, Ri’Chard Wright; special granddaughter, Jatoria Bartolomey.
Homegoing Celebration for James McCloud will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19, 2018, at True Holiness Church, 4022 Spring Grove Road, Elder Evelyn Mosley, Pastor. Visitation FRIDAY 5 – 7 PM at The True Holiness Church. Interment in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J. E.
