SANDERS ~ Dorothy Sanders was born June 6, 1935 in Allendale, South Carolina to Ms. Clemetine Sanders. She attended public school in Duval County, graduating from Stanton High School, class of 1954.
Dorothy was employed by Duval County School Board for thirty-two years. She was a member of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, where she served as a devoted choir member and the senior adult ministry. Dorothy enjoyed attending worship service and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clemetine Sanders; siblings, Flora, James, Donnie, Charles; granddaughter, Selina; son-in-law, Isaiah. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory devoted daughters, Debra McBride and Glenda (Tony) Grant; grandsons, Derrick, Justin, Sean, Marcus; granddaughter, Lekisha; sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret (John) Harmon, Evanell Buxton, Gene Sanders; special nieces, Carmelita and Gail Harmon; friends, Maelene Durpree and Eleanor McCloud; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life for Dorothy Sanders will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1118 West Beaver Street, H. B. Charles, Jr., Pastor – Teacher.
