Billly Lorenzo Moore

MOORE ~ Billy Lorenzo Moore, one of eighteen children, was born March 1, 1959 to the late Sam and Edna Moore. On April 23, 2018, God in his infinite wisdom called his servant, our beloved brother home. 

A 1976 graduate of Jean Ribault High School, Billy married his now ex-wife, Carolyn Whitley, of Apex, North Carolina.  Out of that union came one son, Tavish Moore. 

Billy resided and worked in Raleigh, North Carolina for thirty plus years with his most recent place of employment being UNC Rex Healthcare. He will be remembered for the tremendous love he had for his family, friends and co-workers.

Billy Moore is survived by his son Tavish Moore; Stepson, Robert; four grandchildren; brothers, Clement Gibbs (Deborah), Daniel Moore (Earlene), Samuel Moore (Deborah) and Cecil Moore (Rene); sisters, Sandra Ellison (Albert), Judy James (Larry), Audrey Benton, Joyce Moore, and Edith Conte (Earl);  aunt, Mrs. Juanita Casey; several generations of nephews, nieces and cousins; a devoted companion, Jessica; a host of co-workers and loving friends.  Billy was preceded in death by parents; five siblings, Allen Gibbs, Ernest Eugene Gibbs (Cynthia), Frank Gibbs, Barbara Scott (Jimmy), Dorothy Guyton; uncle, Sonny Casey.  He will surely be missed by all who knew him.

Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Billy Lorenzo Moore will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at New Spirit Full Gospel Church, 4511 Soutel Drive, Bishop Forest and Dr. Wilhelmenia Gilbert, Pastors.  Family will receive friends Friday 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Interment at Edgewood Cemetery.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
