Wayne H McNeil

McNeil ~  Wayne was born October 10, 1962, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to his parents, Beverly A. Lewis and Joseph J. Banks, Jr.  Wayne spent his formative years there in Harrisburg and graduated from Harrisburg Highspire Technical College in the year 1980.

After graduating from high school, Wayne moved and settled in Jacksonville, Florida.  He became affiliated with Pleasant Grove Elevation Church where he became an active member working in many capacities.  Wayne was the treasurer for many years.  He took great pleasure in his involvement in the ministry of the Food Distribution Program.

As Wayne departs to join his mother in the eternal realm, he leaves behind loving memories.  He is survived by his father, Joseph Banks of New York; sister, Joanne Edwards (Michael) of Jacksonville; nieces, Dahlia, Alana and Adrienne of Jacksonville; his Pennsylvania family; uncle, Benjamin McNeil (Juanita); aunts, Irene Fleming, Minnie Linen (Henry), Ruby M. Lewis; cousins, Jana Parsons, Tesha Rowland, Carla Parsons, Stephen McNeil Linen, Robin Britton; and a host of other cousins.

Wayne’s loving, generous spirit will live on through the lives he touched.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Wayne McNeil, 1:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024, at Pleasant Grove  Elevation Church, 5644 Trout River Boulevard.   Visitation one hour before the service, 12:00 - 1:00 PM at The Church.  Interment  in William Howard Day Cemetery, Steelton, Pennsylvania.  Because of the love of his family, arrangements entrusted to J.
